What is CLIPish?

CLIPish provides a quick and easy way to find and customize thousands of photos, images, clip art, emoticons, animations, wallpapers, Emoji icons, sounds, and videos to use on your iPhone, iPod or iPad, and then customize and share them via text messaging, emailing, Facebook, Twitter, wallpapers, and more.

There are different versions of CLIPish (Pro 2, Pro Suite, 3D Animations, Extras for iMovie, Pimp Your Pic, etc.), so not all of the information provided in the Help and Troubleshooting sections will apply to your particular version.

What CLIPish is NOT

CLIPish is NOT a new text messaging or email application.  CLIPish uses the iPhone, iPod and iPad's normal, built-in applications for sending text messages and emails.

Different Media Types

There are several different types of media you can find and share with CLIPish. For example:

Clip Art - Clip art are photos, icons, graphics, and other "flat," non-moving image files.  CLIPish provides access to literally millions of images, so you will likely find just about anything you'd need in clip art format.  Clip art images are usually small files that can be sent quickly.

Wallpapers -  Wallpapers are the same as clip art images, only they are sized specifically to the ratio of an iPhone or iPad.

Animations - Animations are basically the same as clip art, except they move.  Animations are fun, and can be seen moving right inside the text message window of the iPhone.  Depending on the email client of the person receiving the animation, they may or may not "play."  Facebook does not allow ANY animations to "play" on their site, so you can send Animations to Facebook, but they will appear as a flat, non-animated image.  Animations will play when sent via Twitter, as they are hosted on a linked-to page.  Animation files can range anywhere from small to medium size, so they can take a little longer to send in a text message than clip art.  You MUST use the Send or Copy Methods for inserting Animations, since the iPhone does not support saving Animations to your iPhone's photo library.  (The iPhone turns Animations into flat clip art files if you save them to your photo library, and they will lose their animation.)  Because Animations must use the Send or Copy methods, they can have the most compatibility problems when sending via text message to non-iPhone cell phones.

Sounds & Videos - Sounds and Videos can have both sound and motion.  They can't be seen moving inside the text message window, but rather must be "played" by tapping on them or the link provided when sending.  Videos have the largest file sizes and it can take a while to send one.  We are constantly adding more sounds and videos to the Library.

Emoji Icons - See the below section to lean about Emoji Icons.

Turning On the Emoji Keyboard

Every iPhone has the ability to have multiple keyboards. One of the keyboards available is the "Emoji" keyboard, which has around 460 special characters (smiley faces, icons, etc.). The nice thing about Emoji icons, is that they can be inserted along with text, right from your keyboard as you type. (All the other media types shown in the above section, are stand alone files, not characters you type.)

Emoji icons can only be viewed by other iPhone, iPad, or iTouch users. Emoji icons can not be seen on Facebook, Twitter, or non-iPhone devices. (When posting to Facebook or Twitter, this app provides its own special icon keyboard that will work with those websites.)

Emoji Icons and the Emoji Keyboard are included in iOS 5.0 or higher. You do not need any other software to turn on the Emoji Keyboard. Just go to the Settings app on your device (app with Gears icon), then go to General, then to Keyboard, then to International, then to Add Keyboard, then to Emoji.

NOTE: Some versions of this app provide a help page that shows you how to turn on iOS' Emoji Keyboard. If your version has this help page, you'll find it on the Settings page under the option "Set Up Emoji Keyboard."

Contact Apple if you need further help turning on the Emoji Keyboard.

Does it Cost to Send Images?

There are no additional costs from the app to save, share or send images. Once you have paid for the app, there are no per-image costs from the app and you can save or share as many as you wish. However, depending on your cellular data plan, you may incur costs from your cell network provider (AT&T, Verizon, etc.) for each text message you send or for bandwidth used when sharing images via emails, Facebook, etc. You will want to check with your cell carrier as to your text messaging and data plans.

What is a "Premium Access Pass?"

Some versions of the app allow you to subscribe to the optional "Premium Access Pass." If your app has this feature, you can learn about Premium Images and the Premium Access Pass subscription service below.

New images are added to the app regularly. To have access to all the new images, as well as all previously released Premium Images, you subscribe to the optional Premium Access Pass. You can subscribe to the Access Pass by going to the Home tab, then to Settings, and then tapping on the Premium Access Pass option.

This is an optional service for new images as they are added. If you do not subscribe to the Premium Access Pass, you will still have access to thousands of images. (All images that were available before the Premium Access Pass was introduced are still available without a subscription.)

If you'd prefer not to have Premium Images appear in your search results, go to the Home tab, and then to Settings, and turn OFF the Premium Images option.

The app uses your iCloud account to keep track of your subscription. To have access to your subscription between devices (iPhone, iPad, etc.), you must have iCloud turned on and available to the app.

Image Size for Text Messages

The size of animated images and clip art in the app vary in pixel size. These images will stay at their original size when Saving, Copying or Sharing the animations, with ONE EXCEPTION for Text Messaging, as explained below.

If you share an image by tapping the Share button and then Text Message, you will be asked if you wish to share the image in the original size or have it reduced in size.

There are TWO ADVANTAGES to reducing the size of images before you text message them:

1. If you're sending the images via a cell network, or the person receiving them is using a cell network, a smaller image will send faster and more reliably. Some cell networks have a harder time sending and receiving larger files. If you are having this problem, try using the reduced size.

2. The iPhone's Message App distorts certain sized images when displaying them in the Messaging app's "bubble." For example, if you send an image that has an original size of 320 x 320 pixels, you'll notice some of the top and bottom, as well as the sides of the image get "cropped off" when viewing the image inside the message bubble. (If you tap on the image, however, to view it full page, then you will see all of the image.) If you reduce the image size down, it will have less cropping in the bubble window.

Which option you choose depends on your personal preference. If you want the image to look the best when in the text message bubble, use the reduce-size option. However, if you don't care if there is cropping when viewed in the bubble, but want the image to be as large as possible when the other person taps on it to view it full size, then select the original size option.

Send via Text Messaging

This app provides three different methods for inserting multi media images into a text message:

Share Method - This is by far the simplest method.  Just find the image you'd like to send, tap on the Share button, then tap the Text Message button which will then run your iPhone's Messages app.  Pick the person you want to send the image to, and then tap inside the text input box and then select PastePros:  Quick and easy.  Doesn't clutter up your iPhone's Photo Library with images.  Ideal for "one-off" images you will not use often.  Cons:  Must run the app each time you want to send an item.  Possible compatibility problems when sending to certain non-iPhone cell phones.

You may wish to watch the video about sending images via Text Messaging under the Video Tutorials section of this help page.

Copy Method - This is essentially the same as the Share method in that it uses the iPhone's internal clipboard to Copy and Paste images.   This method simply provides the flexibility of copying the image to other applications as well, not just the Messages app.

Save Method - Stores images in your iPhone's Photo Library.  Pros:  Can quickly insert items without running the app each time.  Ideal for items you send often.  Fewer compatibility problems with non-iPhone users.  Cons:  Can clutter up your iPhone's Photo Library.

To send images, sounds and videos via email from within the app, simply:

1. Find an image, sound or video to send from the Library, Web Library or Recent tabs.

2. Tap the Share button to take you to the Share options.

3. Tap the Email button.  This will open a compose email page and paste your image into the body of the email.

4. Enter who you'd like to send the image to, make any changes to the Subject line, enter any message you'd like to include, and then tap Send.

Optionally, you can send Clip Art, Animations and Wallpapers using the device's regular email app.  Just Copy the items you want to use to the Clipboard and use the Paste command inside the app. For example, to send multiple images in one email, you can follow the below process, using Cut and Paste with the email app:

1. Find the first image you'd like to send. Tap on the Copy button. This will move that image to your Clipboard.

2. Run your regular Email app and compose an email. Hold your finger down where you'd like to insert the image, and the Paste button will appear. Tap on that Paste button.

3. Return to the app and find the next image image you'd like to use and Copy it as well.

4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each image you'd like to include in the email. When done, send your email.

To send the actual sound or video file (rather than a link to it) in an email, you'll need to Save the video to your device's Photo Library, then go to your Photo Library, find the sound or video file, and forward it via email from there.

To post images or videos from the app to Facebook (your wall, Friends' walls, Pages or Groups), simply:

- Find an image or video to send from the Library, Web Library or Recent tabs.
- Tap the Share button.
- Tap the Facebook button.  Enter any message you'd like to send along with the image and tap Post.

Facebook Symbols: Along with any text message you post, you can include symbols to your post, by tapping on the Symbols button on the keyboard.  This allows you to use text, symbols, and an image or video, all in one post.

Facebook Posting Limit:  Facebook limits the number of posts a user can make using 3rd party applications. If you get an error saying you've reached your limit, you will need to wait 24 to 48 hours before Facebook will let you start posting again. PLEASE NOTE!  This is a limit placed by Facebook, not the app.  PLEASE don't give us a bad review for this, as we have no control over this.

Animations on Facebook:  Facebook does not allow ANY animations to "play" on their site.  So, you can send Animations to Facebook, BUT they will appear as a flat, non-animated image.  PLEASE NOTE!  This is a limitation of Facebook, not the app.  PLEASE don't give us a bad review for this, as we have no control over Facebook's no-animation policy.

Two Facebook Storage Options:  When you send an image to your own wall, the app will present you with two different options for storing the image or video that you're posting.  You can choose to post only a "Link" to the item, or you can choose to "Save" the item in your Facebook photo library.  The Link option will produce a smaller thumbnail of the image on your wall, but has the advantage of not cluttering up your Facebook photo library with the images you post.  (NOTE:  Facebook ONLY allows the Link option when posting to Friends, Pages or Groups.  The Save options is ONLY available when posting items to your own wall.)

Facebook Status Update vs Profile Wall Post:  Here is how the app works.    If no image is attached, then it updates your Facebook "status" with whatever you enter.  So, if you tap the Remove Image button and then enter a message, that will show up as a status update.  You can use the symbols in your status update (just tap on the Symbols on the keyboard).  However, if you have an image attached, Facebook doesn't support updating your status with an image.  So, what the app does in this case, is post the image and text you enter to your profile wall.  Your friends and others will see that, since they see anything you post to your own wall.

Logging Out of Facebook:

If you want to log the app out of your connection with Facebook, go to the Home tab and then to Settings. You'll find a logout option there.

To "tweet" images or videos from the app to your Twitter page, simply:

- Find an image or video to send from the Library, Web Library or Recent tabs.
- Tap the Share button.
- Tap the Twitter button.  Enter any message you'd like to send along with the image and tap Tweet.

Twitter Symbols: Along with any text message you post, you can include symbols to your post, by tapping on the Symbols button on the keyboard.  This allows you to use text, symbols, and an image or video, all in one tweet.

To Logout of Twitter:
If you want to log the app out of your connection with Twitter, go to the Home tab and then to Settings. You'll find a logout option there.

Send via WhatsApp & Other 3rd-Party Messaging Apps

There are two possible ways to send messages with 3rd-party apps (other apps besides the iPhone's built-in Messages and Email apps).

COPY and PASTE

If the app supports Copy and Paste, then you can:

1. Find the image you want to send.
2. Tap the Copy button.
3. Run the other app (WhatsApp, etc.).
4. Tap inside the input box of where you want to paste the image until the Paste button appears.
5. Tap on the Paste button.
6. Send the image.

SAVE and INSERT

If the app doesn't support Copy and Paste (the Paste button never appears in the app when doing step #4 above), then you can try sending images with the app by saving images to your device's photo library and then inserting them into the other app from there.

1. Find the image you want to send.
2. Tap the Save button.
3. Run the other app (WhatsApp, etc.).
4. Tap on the insert button and then the Choose Existing button.
5. Find the image in your Photo Library and tap on it.

If neither of these methods work, then you'll need to contact the developer of the app you're trying to use and ask them to either support Copy and Paste or inserting saved images.

A NOTE ABOUT ANIMATIONS: Other 3rd-party apps may or may not show animations "playing." Also, because the iOS saves animations as still images, any animation you send via saving them first to your device will be converted to a "non-playing" still image.  To text message animations and have them "play," you'll have the best success by using the iPhone's MMS text messaging app.

Using Wallpapers

Currently Apple provides no way for developers to change your wallpaper directly from within their app.  So, to set your wallpaper, you save the image you're interested in to your local device by tapping the Save button in the app.  Quit the app and run the device's Photos app.  Look in the Camera Roll for the image you just saved.  Select that image and tap on the Share button (icon showing a square and arrow).  Tap on the Use as Wallpaper button.

To customize Wallpapers with Shelves and Skins, you should watch the videos about that under the Video Tutorials section of this help page.

Use with iWork Apps

Apple has three great apps for the iPad which are part of their "iWork" family of applications.  They are, Keynote (for presentations), Pages (for word processing), and Numbers (for spreadsheets).  CLIPish is a fantastic tool to help you find images to use in these apps, particularly for Keynote and Pages, which can benefit greatly by adding photos and clip art.

For example, suppose you're putting together a presentation in Apple's Keynote app, and you want to have the logo of a particular company on one of your slides.  Simply run the app, tap on the Web Library tab, and enter in the name of the company followed by the word "logo," (i.e. "Nike Logo").  This will produce several images to choose from.  Save the one you like to your iPad by tapping the Save button (save as "Original").  You can then insert the image into your Keynote presentation from your iPad's photo library.

Use with iMovie App

Apple offers a great app called iMovie (you can get it in the app store).  It lets you quickly produce HD videos right from your video-capable iPhone or iPad.

CLIPish provides special iMovie "template" images to use with iMovie. (You can also use the stand-alone CLIPish app for this called "Extras for iMovie.")

CLIPish brings two main things to iMovies:

First, it helps you find millions of photos, clip art and HD backgrounds to use in your iMovies. For example, if you needed a photo of a beautiful sunset to use in your video, you can find hundreds in CLIPish.

Second, CLIPish allows you to add text, titles and credits (still panels or scrolling) to your iMovies. The iMovie app itself has very limited features for adding text, so CLIPish allows you to expand on this.

To see examples of what you can do, you should watch the videos about using CLIPish with iMovie under the Video Tutorials section of this help page.

NOTE! You should have a good, working understanding of how iMovie works FIRST, and then it will be much more obvious how you can use CLIPish to enhance your iMovie video productions.

Here are the steps involved for putting text in your iMovie videos:

1. Find an image you'd like to use from the millions of photos, clip art images and HD backgrounds found in CLIPish.  You can find images on the Library, Web Library and Recent tabs. You can either browse images with the featured searches (colors, gradients, HD backgrounds, etc.), or enter in specifically what you're looking for in the Search box at the top of the Library or Web Library tabs.

2. Once you've found the ideal photo or background, if you want to customize it, tap on the Customize button which allows you to crop or rotate the image, and then you can add text, clip art, symbols, frames, etc. (When cropping an image, there is a special selector that allows you to crop the image to a typical iMovie aspect ratio.) You can "layer" multiple changes to the same image. Just tap the Done button after each change, then tap the Customize button again to continue making more changes.

3. Once you've finished customizing the image, save it to your photo library by tapping on the Save button.

4. Run iMovie and then use the Insert feature in iMovie to pull that image into your video. You can then drag the image around in iMovie to put it in the correct spot of your video, set how long you want that image to appear, adjust transitions, etc.

EXAMPLE: Adding Credits to your iMovie video.

Suppose you wanted to add titles or credits to the end or beginning on one of your iMovie video productions. Just find a good background (the HD color or gradient panels on the Library tab work great for this), tap on the Customize button, add text to the background, save it, and then pull it into your iMovie. (Use the multi-touch finger commands of dragging and pinching to move or re-size the text.)

Because iMovie adds nice transitions between photo images, you can very easily make entire videos using nothing but images from CLIPish. Watch the videos about iMovie under the Video Tutorials section of this help page for examples of this.

Scrolling Credits

To have your credits scroll, from the Add Text page, tap on the Animation tool button (last button on the right, along the bottom when adding text). Watch the videos about Scrolling Credits under the Video Tutorials section of this help page for examples of this.

Rendering Time

When adding Scrolling Credits to an iMovie, it must "render" the scrolling text to a video format. This is very processor intensive and can take a long time on a mobile device, such as the iPhone or iPad. There are two options you can find on the Settings page (Home tab > Settings button) that allow you to adjust the quality of your video which will also impact the rendering time. The two settings are Video Size and Video Scrolling. Play around with those two settings until you're happy with the quality and rendering time.

TIP: Using Favorites with iMovie Images

If you're going to use a lot of images in your iMovie, the quickest way to do this is to create a special folder in the Favorites tab. You could call it "My First iMovie" as an example. Then, search through and browse images in CLIPish, and save the images you want to use to that Favorites folder (tap on the Favorites button for any image). After you have all your images in the folder, you can go into that folder and change the order of all the images to how you'll use them in your iMovie. You can then use the SAVE ALL button to save all the images to your iPhone or iPad.

Using your own photos in your iMovie production:

See the section below about adding your own photos to CLIPish.

Back to Help Index

Using Your Own Photos

Some versions of this app, such as CLIPish Pro 2, allow you to upload your own photos, customize them (crop, rotate, add text, etc.), save them in your Favorites, and then send them to others, just as you would any image you find within the app.  If your version of the app supports this feature, follow the below steps. (You can also view a video showing how this is done in the Video Tutorials.)

To use your own photos:

1. Tap on the My Library tab along the bottom of the app.

2. Tap on any of the folders or create a new one (by tapping the New Folder button).

3. Tap on the Import button. (You can also import photos in different ways using the Camera or Paste buttons.)

4. Navigate to the image(s) you'd like to use.

5. Customize as desired.

Back to Help Index

Passcode Protecting Your Photos

CLIPish Pro 2, as well as some other versions of the app, allow you to set a Passcode to keep others from running the app. If your app has this feature, you set it by going to the Help tab and then to Settings. You can set either a 4-digit, numerical Passcode, or a graphical, dot pattern. Once you have set your Passcode, you may also set an optional "Decoy" Passcode that can be used to allow other people to run the app, but not providing them access to your Favorites folder.

If you quit the app and re-run it within 2 minutes, it will NOT ask for the passcode again. We do this because you may want to leave the app to delete images from your device's regular Photo app, send an image via the Email app, etc., and it's annoying having to keep enter the passcode every time you restart the app. However, after 2 minutes of not having run the app it WILL ask for the passcode. If you want to have it ask for the passcode immediately when leaving the app, then you have to kill it from running in the background (running in multitasking mode), as the app will ALWAYS ask for the passcode if the app wasn't running in the background, regardless of how long ago you were last running it.

Using Animations from Other Apps

CLIPish has more Animations than any other app you'll ever find, but there may be that rare instance that you find an animation somewhere else (on the web, in another app, etc.) that you can't find in CLIPish. Because the iPhone converts any animation into a still image as soon as you try to save it, you can't just save animations from other apps and then upload them into CLIPish like you can photos and images (as explained above). CLIPish has a special way, however, that you CAN store Animations from other apps into a Favorites folder in CLIPish. Here's how:

1. Run the other app and find the animation you want to use in CLIPish.

2. Copy the animated image you want to use into your device's Copy N Paste clipboard. Depending on the other app, this might be done by using a Copy button, or Copy to MMS button, or even holding your finger down on the image and selecting Copy. (If the other app doesn't have a way of copying the animation into the device's Copy N Paste clipboard, you will not be able to move it from that app to CLIPish.)

3. Run CLIPish, tap on the Favorites tab, and then go to any of the Favorite folders. If you have properly copied an Animation into the device's Copy N Paste clipboard, you should see a "Paste Animation" button at the bottom of the page. Tap on that button and CLIPish will "paste" the Animation into your Favorites folder. Now, anytime you want to share that Animation, you can do it from within CLIPish.

Backing Up Your Favorites

Anytime you connect your device to iTunes and perform a sync with backup, or when backing up to iCloud, the process backs up all your apps, including this one, along with all the Favorite folders. HOWEVER, there are limitations to what Apple allows an app to back up. Apple provides developers with two areas for their apps to save data. One is a temporary area that doesn't get backed up, and the other is a permanent area that does get backed up. Apple does not allow apps to store large amounts of data in the permanent area. Therefore, the app only can store the web location for your favorite images, but the actual image itself, which is much larger, can only be stored in the temporary area. This means, if you ever change phones, or restore a back up, not everything will be restored. For example, any customizations you've made to images (adding text, cropping, frames, etc.) will NOT be backed up, and will therefore be lost if you restore form a back up. You will also lose any images you had stored to your Favorites from the Web Library or Recent tabs which are no longer found on the web (since only the web address was backed up, not the actual image). This could result in "black" or empty images after a restore and you'll need to delete any such missing images. Lastly, any images you had imported into your Favorites from your own photo library or from other apps using the Paste feature will be lost, as those too don't get backed up and they have no web address.

This is a limitation given to apps by Apple, and we have no control over this. If you have images that you want to make sure you NEVER lose, you should save them to your device's photo library, which Apple DOES back up completely. Keep in mind, however, that doesn't work for animations, since Apple flattens any animations when it saves them to the photo library, hence turning any animation into a still image.

Back to Help Index

What is the "Clipboard?"

You may notice when using the Copy button on an image, a message that briefly appears, "Copied to Clipboard." For those who are not familiar with that term, the "clipboard" is simply the term used to represent the virtual place where things are temporarily stored when using a device's Copy and Paste feature. Things are "copied" to the clipboard, then anything that is in the clipboard can be "pasted" using the device's Paste feature. The clipboard isn't an actual place on your device that you can view or access, it's just the term used when referring to Copying and Pasting. So, when you see the message "Copied to Clipboard," that just means you may now use your device's Paste feature to paste the copied image somewhere else (in an email, text message, another app, etc.). If you watch the video tutorial about sending images with text messaging, you'll see an example of how Copy and Paste works on an iPhone.

Turning Rating Filter OFF

You can only view unfiltered Internet content using the built-in web browser (as discussed below), but not using the built-in Image search. Apple will not approve any apps which allow users to turn off the Internet content filtering for built-in image searches. Apple has told use that this is their policy, even if an app has a 17+ rating. For this reason, users are not able to turn off the rating filter inside the app. (Please do not give us a bad rating because of Apple's policy. Since we have no control over this matter, if you have issues with Apple's policy, please contact Apple with your concerns. You can read more about Apple's policy at http://tinyurl.com/appleporn.)

Therefore, if you want unfiltered Internet content, you'll need to use the built-in web browser. Just as is the case with Safari or any other web browser, there is no way to filter out all of the Internet, so content found that way is not filtered. (This is why any of our apps that contain the web browser are rated 17+.) For example, you could just browse to Google's website (enter google.com in search box of the Web Library tab), tap on the Images tab of Google's site, then go to the Settings link at the bottom of that page, and set SafeSearch to Off. See the Video Tutorials for a demo of how this works on the Web Library tab.

Content Licensing

Unless otherwise designated, you should consider all of the content found on the Library tab of the app to be licensed for personal use only. Unless otherwise indicated, none of the items should be copied or redistributed for commercial use.

Licensing for content found on the Web Library and Recent tabs will vary, depending on the terms of each website for which an image is found. At the bottom of each image you will find the URL for the website that contains the image. Tapping on the website's URL will open up the web page containing the image and you can research that site's copyright policy. It is best to consider any image to NOT be licensed for anything but personal, fair use.

Some images featured in the app are in the public domain. If you believe your work has been included in err, please let us know so it can be removed immediately. The process to notify us is discussed below.

Writing and sending Proper Notification

CLIPish (www.clipish.net) is an Online Service Provider under Title II of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. Section 512 ("DMCA"). This document outlines the policy that clipish.net has introduced in order to implement notice and take-down policy as required by DMCA. This document guides copyright owners interested in utilizing this procedure, as well as service users interested in restoring access to material mistakenly taken down.

The DMCA provides a legal procedure by which you can request any Online Service Provider to disable access when your copyrighted work(s) are appearing without your permission. The legal procedure consists of two parts: (1) Writing a Proper DMCA Notice, and (2) Sending the Proper DMCA Notice to clipish.net's Designated Agent.

To write a Proper DMCA Notice, state the following information:

Dealing with Adult Internet Content and Flagging Objectionable or Pornographic Images

None of the images we provide in our library (those found on the Library tab) are pornographic. However, because this app also incorporates Google's Internet Image Search on the Web Library tab, it is possible to be exposed to images from the web that are obscene, pornographic or defamatory.

To reduce the chances of this happening, and/or to protect other family members, here are four things you can do:

1. Use the Family Edition of CLIPish. That edition doesn't provide access to any Internet images, since it doesn't include the Web Library tab and is locked in the Strict filter setting. With the Family Edition, you'd NEVER see any questionable images--guaranteed ideal for families and children.

2. Set your Rating Filter to Strict.  If you don't want to switch to the Family Edition and lose the Web Library tab, you can set the highest level of protection by tapping on the More tab, then go to Settings, and set your Web Search Filter to Strict. NOTE: This will considerably limit the number of images you find per search, as the Strict setting blocks out images from several websites.

3. Flag images. If you have your Rating Filter set to Strict, and you encounter any pornographic or incorporate images on the Web Library tab, please help Google improve their filtering system by flagging those images (by tapping on the Flag button).

4. Passcode protect running the app. Certain versions of CLIPish provide the ability to turn on a Passcode which will be required to run the app. If your version has this feature, you will find it by going to the More tab and then tapping on the Settings option. Look for the option to turn on and off a Passcode. You can learn more about the Passcode feature here.

Tips, Tricks & Shortcuts

Tip #1:  Quick Copy - If you see the image you want to use while in the grid mode of the Library, Web Library or Recent tabs, you don't need to expand the image and select Copy.  Instead, just hold your finger on the image for a second or so, and it will copy the image to the clipboard.

Tip #2:  Emailing Multiple Images - When you use the Send tab to send images while running CLIPIish, it makes the image an attachment (which is the only way Apple currently allows 3rd-party apps to do this).  This means you can only attach a single image per email and it will always appear at the end of the email as an attachment.  However, if you would like to attach multiple images to the same email, and have them stay where you place them, you can use your device's regular Mail app, copying and pasting multiple images into the same email.  You can also place the images where you like using this method.  (NOTE:  How the email will appear on the other end is also a factor of the email service someone is using, such as Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, etc. and the client they are using to view the email.  For this reason, they may or may not see it exactly how you sent it.  This has nothing to do with the app.)

Tip #3:  Quickly Saving Images from Others on the Recent Tab for Later Use - If you see something on the Recent tab from Others that you think you might like to use later, just tap the Copy button.  That will make a copy of that image in YOUR recently used area.  When you want to use the image, just tap on the Recent tab, and then tap on the Recently Used by YOU column and you'll find the image there.  (Of course, if the image isn't an animation, you can also just Save the image to your device's Photo Library and use it from there.)
